I love you full speed no break
This week went by way fast!! And it was a good one.
We started teaching the cutest nine year old girl from the Solomon islands!!
We visited this samoan family in the branch that moved from Ipwsich and being in their house felt like I was back in Ipwisch because they fed us so many cookies and pepsi.
One of the members told us she cooked Mexican food and then pulls out this bowl of noodles and I was so confused then we basically had tacos but instead of taco shells it was on noodles. It was strange but pretty good.
Friday night we traveled to Rocky and then saturday morning we worked in their area before their baptism in the evening. Always fun working with Sister Matavusi!!!
Haha and it was so funny we visited a lady they are teaching and she told me I didn't sound American and she said I sound "bloody Australian" hahahah. I don't think I do at all but I have been in Australia for awhile so there's something.
Then that night after the baptsim we went to a cultural festival to support their recent convert. He did his Mauri dancing. Then after we drove back to Gladstone
In our zone we have been talking about sharing the gospel in normal and natural ways. I read something in a talk by Elder uchtdorf that I loved!!
"The Lord has never required expert, flawless missionary efforts. Instead, the Lord requireth the heart and a willing mind.”
I love this so much! During my mission I learned that it's okay if you don't know everything but what you really need to have is a desire to serve and God will make up where you lack.
Everyone has something to contribute to the work, we all have different skills and we can use what we have! You never know what person you will help.
"If you have a desire to serve god you are called to the work"
I hope you all have an awesome week 💜
"I love you full speed no break" that's what Sister Matavusi says😂
