Swimming?
Woah what an eventful almost 2 weeks it's been!!
While I was working in Rockhampton we had such a cool miracle! One of the families the sisters were working with had an unbaptized child and we had dinner with them and decided that she should get baptized that same Thursday!
Before zone conference we had a zone P day and it was so fun! We went to a place called cooberrie park where we got to hold amd pet snakes, different birds, koalas, baby crocs, & kangaroos.
Zone conference was really sad!!! We were the last group that President Mcswain had zone conference with and then we had family home evening with them and we got to say bye to them at the airport. They flew home on Friday!! And we will meet our new mission President, Presidet Ence, soon!
Life up north is so good! It's honestly a different mission up here. The branch is great, they are all so nice. It's really small and there are mostly Tongans. They feed us heaps.
My companion Sister Filimoehala lives in Sydney but she's from Tonga so she's going to teach me how to speak Tongan!
Oku ofa ia koe (Jesus loves you)
I also had one of the coolest experiences ever!!! So there's lots of farms here and mostly people from Tonga come but also Fiji, samoa, and other islands. Me and my companion felt like we should go to the farm to talk to people because there is heaps of less active members and non members that work there. So we go and we start by just teaching 1 less active member but as we were teaching more and more people came around us. Before we knew it there was 40+ people listening to us. There was so many people that my companion stood on the table to say the closing prayer because there was so many people there!! #tongansfordays #teachinthemultitudes
The miracle gets even better!!!
On Sunday 2 buses pull up to the chapel full of the Tongans from the farm!-Less active and non members. The members from the branch couldn't believe it and they said it was the most people they've had at church. We were able to have a class for them during the 2nd hour and started teaching them and handed out Tongan book of Mormons. They said they would come next Sunday!
This was one of the coolest experiences I've had my whole mission I wish I could explain it better how cool it was.
Probably the funniest part of the week was when me and my companion were doing service at one of our investigators house! My comp was holding a box and she tripped and then FELL IN THE POOL!!!! I died.
Saturday we had a baptism for Makelesi. And our chapel is so tiny that it doesn't have a font so she got baptized in someone's pool.
I love you all heaps!!! Have a great week. Read the book of Mormon
