Jesus will get ya
Happy Easter everyone!!
This Saturday we had a musical fireside and it was 2 girls, the one was from Israel and she told about her conversion story because the other girl was the room mate that introduced her to the church. It was so awesome!!
So people in Australia are way stubborn and don't want to change so me and my comp have been trying so hard to come up with creative ideas on how to get people to start talking to us.
Thursday night a member gave us a bunch of chocolate Easter eggs so on Friday we made up an object lesson teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ using an Easter egg.
We ended up giving away 16 chocolate eggs and 16 gospel of Jesus Christ pamphlets and it took us all day because people are pretty rude here but we were so happy that we were able to do it! And it made door knocking more fun. Hopefully we planted some seeds:)
Then on Monday we were thinking of more ideas so we decided that when we go finding we were going to do a 1 question survey and ask people their opinions on the after life and then teach them about the plan of salvation. Responses varied most being "i don't care" but my favorite response was "Jesus will get ya". True dat!
Funny story for the week: My companion, just being out for a couple weeks, has a hard time understanding the thick Australian accents and we were talking to this man and he said something about "the mens shed" but she heard dementia and then asked if he had dementia! HA
