"Faka Tomala"
G'day pals!
It's been quite the week!
Heavenly father knows me too well and knows how inpatient I am.
Some days are so hard and so long and I feel so hopeless but then in the midst of discouragement we will see a miracle!
We've had some people drop us so we've been out door knocking more!
One new investigator we found is named Marc he's a baptist but he's open to learn and he told us his cat is from America! ha
A couple of weeks ago we found a lady named Ruth who lives in our same flat complex. Monday we went over to knock on her door and Ah ching, who is my recent convert in my first area, answered the door! Haha I was so confused! Apparently Ruth is Ah ching's aunt.
They are Samoans so of course they invited us in for dinner. We taught Ruth and she was being a little sassy because she is a really strong catholic lady and was basically quizzing us on the bible so that was annoying. But she still invited us to come back next week and we gave her some scriptures to read so I guess we will see how it goes.
"You two should really be inside, it's too hot!" - a sassy man when we were door knocking
I Tongan family we visited taught me how to say repent in Tongan. "Faka Tomala"
"I have prostitutes in my family history but I still do the work for them because maybe they've changed!" This is what the lady said who taught relief society on Sunday hahaha!!
