Church Fit:)
Hi!!!
This week was so fun in this new area!! All the members and people here are so great. I may be in a new area but don't worry we still had KFC twice this week:)
Some random things that happened:
I had my first door slam, hahaha missionary life!
We found a man from Iraq while we were finding in the city, he was really nice but his English wasn't the best so there was a bit of a language barrier so we taught him using google translate on his phone.
There is a member in the ward who's is a wrestler and a personal trainer and he owns a gym and he does this thing called "church fit". It's every Monday and Friday @6:30am and he offers a free class for all the members and we can bring our investigators as well. It's so cool it brings the ward closer, fellowships people, and we can get new investigators! It's only a 30 minute class but dang it's hard! On Monday morning we did boxing and I'm still sore.
Our area is so big so twice a transfer we go to this group thing on Sunday that is about an hour away. It's at a tiny little chapel in the smallest town ever! They are too small to be a branch so they call them a group. There were about 10 people there and me and my comp gave talks. But then after we went to our normal ward in Darling Heights.
We have a recent convert and she is the cutest older lady!! We go to read the Book of Mormon with her twice a week and it's so fun to answer all her questions and see her progress. She gets so excited when we read, I love it! The other day we were reading 2nephi 25 and she LOVED it! She told us it was her favorite chapter she has read yet. Challenge: Everyone go read 2nephi 25:)
In that chapter it says "We are made alive in Christ". I know that is true! Jesus Christ is our savior, he's our friend, our brother, our comforter, our everything!
Have an amazing week!
