zone conference
Hello everyone!!!
We have zone conference on Wednesday so our P-day is today:)
On Thursday and Friday I had Golden Orientation and it was so fun!! It's where all the new missionaries go to the city for a 2 day training thing. We got there around 12 on Thursday then did heaps of training then we went finding around the city. We went in small groups and talked to everyone. We met this awesome girl who was so interested! We talked to her for a while and gave her a Book of Mormon and we also took her to walk around the temple grounds. While we were talking to her this random member just came up and told her his testimony and conversion story! The spirit was so strong as we were teaching her right outside of the temple. She said she's coming to church on Sunday and that she loved the feelings she had while we talked to her!
The spirit leads you to people!
We slept at a hotel Thursday night then we woke up at 6am the next morning and worked out with everyone. We ran from the hotel to the temple then back to the hotel to eat breakfast. After we got ready then went back to the chapel to finish the training's.
I also got to do baptisms in the temple Thursday morning before the orientation. My companions convert was going to the temple to do baptisms so we helped him out by doing some names.
Sunday we had the best fireside!! One of the elder's in our mission dad is one of the top 10 motivational speakers in the world. His name is Chad Hymas and he's from Utah and flew to Australia to speak. It was SO good! Some things he shared:
- Love is demonstrated not announced
-Your problems become less significant when you don't worry about yourself
- People always remember how you make them feel
- Just because you don't get caught doing something wrong doesn't make it right
This week was so good! I also saw my first kangaroo!!
